Through the years at BRC, some sires are developed for the show ring, while others are part of our signature ranching program — bulls that are grass-developed and maintained in a more natural state rather than pushed on show feed or management. Big Valley 592 is firmly in that category and has been a standout since birth.

He is the result of our continued collaboration with Wichita Ranch Martin Division, a partnership that has produced influential herd sires including Captain and Swing Wide. Pedigree-wise, Big Valley is a son of BRC Dutton 376/8 and out of a M2 Ranch 191 x 380 daughter tracing to the JDH Water Cow family.

Phenotypically, he offers rugged masculinity, strong breed character, excellent muscle shape and dimension, and goggle-eye pigment paired with a dark grey color. He reminds us strongly of his sire Dutton, with added pigment and shape.
