We are proud to release our 3rd Quarter Brahman AI Sire Semen Rankings, highlighting the bulls generating the most semen sales and breeder interest during the quarter.
This quarter’s list includes proven BRC mainstays, Houston champions, and several exciting young sires whose first calves are beginning to make their mark.
There is also one significant change at the top of the list. Our #1 selling sire, BRC 160/8, sustained an injury during the past month. While we determine his future semen production capabilities, BRC has retained our remaining inventory for use within our own program.
Here are the Top 10 BRC Brahman AI sires for the third quarter:
1. BRC 160/8
BRC 160/8 leads the list as our #1 selling sire of the third quarter.
A son of Noble, 160/8 has established himself as one of the most sought-after sires in the BRC lineup. Following his recent injury, all remaining semen inventory has been retained by BRC while we determine whether he will be able to return to semen production in the future.
2. BRC Six Gun 328
Coming in a close second to his own sire is BRC Six Gun 328, the 2026 International Grand Champion Brahman Bull at Houston.
Six Gun’s first calf crop has only increased our confidence in him. His calves are displaying the quality, balance and functionality we hoped he would transmit, making him one of the most exciting young sires in our program.
Six Gun semen is currently well stocked and available for $50 per straw.
3. BRC Dutton 376/8
Dutton holds steady at #3, and that’s no surprise to us.
He has earned a reputation as a complete, functional and dependable sire whose calves consistently perform. Dutton continues to be one of those bulls breeders can confidently incorporate into a wide variety of programs.
4. BRC Johnny Brahman 299
BRC Johnny Brahman 299 combines championship credentials with an increasingly impressive production record.
A Houston Grand Champion Bull, Johnny is now proving his worth through exceptional sons and daughters. He is known for transmitting style, structural correctness, length and quality while maintaining the excellent disposition we value in the BRC program.
5. BRC Geronimo’s Cadillac 230
Geronimo’s Cadillac continues to establish himself as an important young herd sire at BRC.
His first calves are functional, sound and heavily muscled—and they seem to get better with age. His first calf crop has already produced several young division winners, giving us plenty of reason to be excited about his future.
6. BRC Ghost Pepper 133
Ghost Pepper is a new name in our Top 10 this quarter.
Another versatile son of Noble, Ghost Pepper offers a combination of moderate birth weight, functionality and breed character that makes him useful across a wide range of breeding programs. His affordable semen price also makes him an attractive option for breeders wanting to incorporate proven BRC genetics on a larger scale.
7. BRC Federale 331
BRC Federale 331 is gaining attention quickly—and for good reason.
A full brother to BRC Six Gun 328, Federale offers a larger-framed, stylish version of this proven genetic combination. He is currently breeding cows at BRC and Thibodeaux Brahman Ranch, and we are looking forward to seeing his first calves.
8. BRC Amos Moses 257
BRC Amos Moses 257 is the sire of notable BRC standouts including BRC Your Gypsy 700 and BRC Grand River 690.
Although Amos Moses semen is currently sold out, strong sales during the first part of the quarter were enough to keep him firmly inside our Top 10.
9. BRC Boombox 38
Boombox remains a mainstay of the BRC sire lineup.
He consistently produces offspring with depth, power and outstanding Brahman breed character, making him a dependable choice for breeders looking to add these traits to their program.
Boombox semen is available in the United States through Bovine Elite and internationally through BRC.
10. BRC Money Don’t Jiggle 240
BRC Money Don’t Jiggle 240 continues his run as a Top 10 BRC semen sire and remains one of our most popular bulls from a phenotypic standpoint.
His first calf crop at BRC has impressed us tremendously, including one of the featured lots in our upcoming Night of Champions Sale. As more of his progeny reach production age, we believe breeders will continue to hear a lot about Money Don’t Jiggle.
