Brandon Cutrer recent served as the cattle judge at the prestigious XIX Feria Internacional de Xmatcuil 2025, held in the state of Yucatán, Mexico.
Brandon is honored to participate in the international community and represents the American Brahman Breeders Association with integrity, professionalism, and elite genetic expertise.
A Celebration of Brahman Cattle Excellence in Yucatán
The Feria Internacional de Xmatcuil is one of Yucatán’s most respected livestock events, drawing top breeders, exhibitors, and industry leaders from across Mexico and Latin America. Known for its strong Brahman and Bos indicus influence, the show celebrates both the cultural heritage of Mexican ranching and the advancement of modern cattle genetics.
During the four-day event, Brandon evaluated classes of elite cattle, studying structural correctness, breed character, and performance-focused traits – the same principles we use every day in building the BRC Modern Brahman.
A Trusted Voice for the Breed
Judging internationally is a privilege we hold dear. Over the years, members of the BRC team judge major shows not just across the United States, but internationally in Central and South America. We believe in judging with a blend of our deep day to day cattle knowledge, show ring experience, and real-world ranch practicality.
At BRC, we believe many of the best Brahman cattle judges are the ones actively breeding and managing their own cattle. What he looks for in the ring is what we work hard to raise in the pasture: functional, fertile, gentle cattle with world-class phenotype and proven performance.

Beyond the show ring, Brandon’s time in Yucatán allowed for conversations with breeders, students, and industry leaders eager to learn more about American Brahman cattle. Mexico continues to be one of the Brahman breeds strongest international markets, and events like this further strengthen our ties with the region’s progressive cattlemen and women.
