BRC Ranch genetics made a powerful statement at the 2026 Washington County Fair in Brenham, Texas, earning both Grand Champion titles in the Gray Brahman show, the Reserve Grand Champion Female title, and multiple division championships.
But perhaps the biggest story of the day extended far beyond the BRC Ranch show string.
BRC genetics represented the largest number of cattle from any bloodline exhibited at the event- 24% in fact – a tremendous testament to the strong influence and widespread use of BRC genetics throughout the United States.
BRC Grand River 690 Named Grand Champion Gray Bull
Leading the BRC winners was BRC Grand River 690, who was selected as the Grand Champion and Junior Yearling Champion Gray Bull.
Grand River represents the next generation of the BRC breeding program from top to bottom. He is sired by BRC Amos Moses 257 and out of BRC Me Again Margaret 254, making him a product of two of the most exciting individuals in the BRC program.
His Washington County Fair victory adds another exciting chapter to this young bull’s career and further demonstrates the consistency being produced through the Amos Moses progeny.
BRC Your Gypsy 700 Wins Grand Champion Gray Female
On the female side, BRC Your Gypsy 700, exhibited by Mollie Jo Cutrer, claimed the title of Grand Champion and Intermediate Champion Gray Female.
Gypsy is another daughter of BRC Amos Moses 257, this time out of BRC Come On Eileen 75. Her championship gave Amos Moses the distinction of siring both the Grand Champion Gray Bull and Grand Champion Gray Female at the 2026 Washington County Fair.
That kind of consistency across both sexes is exactly what BRC strives to produce: cattle capable of excelling in the show ring while representing the type and genetic direction of the BRC program.
BRC Ginger Snap 738 Claims Reserve Grand Champion Female
Mollie Jo Cutrer also exhibited BRC Ginger Snap 738 to the title of Reserve Grand Champion and Senior Yearling Champion Gray Female.
Ginger Snap is sired by +Mr. V8 160/8 and out of +Miss V8 392/8. Her strong showing gave BRC-bred females the impressive sweep of both the Grand and Reserve Grand Champion Gray Female titles.
BRC Storm Coming 580 Wins Intermediate Champion Bull
BRC Storm Coming 580, owned by Rachel Williams Cutrer and Finley Bros. Cattle Co., LLC, was named Intermediate Champion Gray Bull.
Storm Coming is sired by +Mr. V8 160/8 and out of BRC Come On Eileen 75. His championship was especially meaningful alongside the success of BRC Your Gypsy 700, as both champions are maternal siblings out of Come On Eileen.
BRC Wells Fargo Wagon 383 Named Aged Senior Champion
Rounding out the BRC division winners was BRC Wells Fargo Wagon 383, selected as the Aged Senior Champion Gray Bull.
Wells Fargo Wagon is sired by +Mr. V8 458/7 “Noble” and out of +Miss V8 103/8, combining two highly influential individuals in the BRC program.
More Than a Show String: 24% of the Entire Show
While we are incredibly proud of the five BRC winners carrying our prefix, one of the most meaningful statistics from the Washington County Fair was found throughout the entire show.
Twenty-eight head exhibited were made from BRC genetics.
Those 28 animals represented approximately 24% of all cattle exhibited in the Grey Brahman Show, the highest representation of any bloodline at the show.
For BRC, that’s significant.
Our goal has never been simply to produce cattle that win for us. We want to develop genetics that work for cattlemen and Brahman breeders across the country—genetics that other breeders can incorporate into their own programs and use to build their next generation.
Seeing nearly one-quarter of the cattle exhibited at a major Texas Brahman show carrying BRC influence is an exciting indication of just how widely those genetics are being put to work.
