BRC Genetics Win for Our Customers in Houston

March 8, 2026

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo hosts the largest Brahman show in the United States, and this year, not only did cattle from our own program rise to the top — so did cattle bred by customers using BRC genetics.

BRC-Influenced Results in Houston:

  • 11 Class Winners
  • 3 Division Champions
  • 3 Reserve Division Champions

In a show as competitive as Houston, those numbers matter.

But what matters even more to us is where those wins came from.

Because while we are proud when BRC cattle win in our own program, our real goal as seedstock breeders is something bigger: producing genetics that help our customers succeed.

Seeing BRC bloodlines show up in champion drives across the ring, across multiple programs, with different breeders, different management styles, and different herds, is the best validation a breeding program can ask for.

It means the cattle work.

It means the genetics hold up.

And it means breeders who invest in BRC genetics are building programs that can compete at the highest level.

The Houston show ring is one of the toughest stages in the country. Every year it brings together the best cattle, the best breeders, and the best genetics in the industry.

This year, BRC genetics were consistently in the mix — and often at the front of the class.

Results like this don’t happen by accident.

They come from years of focused selection, disciplined breeding decisions, and a commitment to producing cattle that perform not only in our pastures, but in our customers’ programs as well.

And if Houston showed us anything this year, it’s this:

BRC genetics are working — and they’re working for a lot of people.
