The 2025 Houston International Brahman Show was a historic event for BRC Ranch, with BRC Johnny Brahman capturing the prestigious title of International Grand Champion Brahman Bull and BRC Money Don’t Jiggle 240 earning Reserve International Grand Champion Bull. The competition was fierce, but these two exceptional bulls rose to the top, showcasing the power of BRC genetics and the strength of the Brahman breed.

BRC Johnny Brahman: The Performance Bull Who Reigns as a Champion
BRC Johnny Brahman, a two-year-old powerhouse, made a statement in Houston. Sired by MSP King Garrett and out of the former International Champion BRC Sweetie 486/8, Johnny’s success is no surprise. His dam, BRC Sweetie 486/8, has now produced both a Houston Grand Champion Bull and Female, solidifying her as one of the most influential females in the breed.
Johnny represents the pinnacle of “the Modern Brahman.” He blends Partin’s century old bloodline of fertility, maternal strengths and countless Maternal Merit award winners with BRC’s most high powered show line full of Register of Renowns to create the perfect blend of today’s Modern Brahman.
With an actual BW of 82 pounds, adjusted WW of 725, and adjusted YW 1329, he also passed a fertility test and started freezing semen at 14 months of age.
Johnny Brahman’s cross between King Garrett and Sweetie has proven to be the perfect intersection between productive, functional cattle and cattle that will knock your socks off with eye appeal. Plus, he’s got excellent pigmentation and excellent breed character.
Owned by BRC Ranch and Garrett Cattle, Johnny commanded the ring with his combination of power, substance, and exceptional structure. Judge Chris Mullinix had high praise for Johnny, stating:
“This bull hits me no question about it,” said Mullinix. “He’s got such a unique tandem of look and quality with a rugged appearance in terms of bone, substance, and power. He can get out and motor. He covers the ground so good. He’s so upheaded. He’s just one of those that has almost an arrogance about him – a proud nature about the way he poses and comes together. Good testicles. That is one incredibly good-looking, powerful, shapely, really high-quality bull.”
Adding to the special championship is the fact that two days prior, Johnny was part of our 2025 Stall Showcase, with semen being offered at the price point of $125 to $100 depending on the volume of units purchased. This gave every single person at the show an opportunity to acquire semen on the Grand Champion Bull at a price point that makes it AI-accessible. Part of the “modern Brahman” philosophy also includes sharing in great genetics so that together we can raise the bar for the entire breed. For those who saw Johnny’s potential, and invested in the bull on Wednesday, they now house semen in their tank from the 2025 Grand Champion Bull at Houston at just a $100 to $125 investment.

BRC Money Don’t Jiggle 240: Reserve Grand Champion Bull
Standing beside Johnny in the winner’s circle was the bull who resides just two pens down from him at the BRC show barn: BRC Money Don’t Jiggle 240, the Reserve Grand Champion Bull. This Noble son, out of BRC 103/8, continues to build on the legacy of BRC’s elite sire program. His balance, power, and undeniable presence in the ring made him a standout.
Owned by BRC Ranch and GB Cattle, Money Don’t Jiggle 240 exemplifies the depth of quality in BRC’s breeding program. Judge Mullinix acknowledged just how competitive the drive was between these two bulls:
“There were two bulls I had in my mind coming into this drive. We got ’em out here and it was the same two bulls. It’s one of those times, I’m not going to tell you which way is right or wrong. They’re both amazing,” said Mullinix.
“What it boils down to – when they’re that good – when they’re that elite – we can talk all the differences we want. One of them is just a little more me — a little my kind in terms of effortless movement – so so good. So powerful. All of ’em amazing.”
A Legacy of Champions
BRC’s continued success in the show ring is a testament to the strength of our breeding program and our commitment to excellence. But, our goal isn’t simply to win banners. Our goal is to raise the best possible Brahmans in the entire world. With bulls like BRC Johnny Brahman and BRC Money Don’t Jiggle 240 leading the way, the future of BRC genetics is brighter than ever.
We extend our gratitude to Judge Chris Mullinix for his insightful evaluation and to all the breeders, exhibitors, and supporters who make the Houston International Brahman Show one of the most prestigious events in the industry. Brahman breeders across the board were so grateful for his fair and honest assessment across the board, as well as the time he took to thoroughly evaluate each and every animal with the utmost attention to detail while also clearly explaining the placings on every single animal that came through the class. It was a breath of fresh air in the Brahman show ring to see such a clear and unbiased judging where every exhibitor got a 100% fair evaluation.
Stay tuned as these two elite bulls continue to leave their mark on the breed. The best is yet to come!
