The 2026 Houston Livestock Show, also known as the International Brahman Show, is one of the most competitive stages in the cattle industry. It is generally considered the largest single beef cattle breed show in the entire United States. The best cattle, the best breeders, and the best programs in the country all converge in one place.
This year, the BRC Ranch team is incredibly proud of the results our program achieved.
While banners are exciting, what makes this week meaningful to us is seeing the years of disciplined breeding decisions, data-driven selection, and daily hard work come together in the show ring.
Major Houston Show Ring Highlights
At the 2026 Houston Livestock Show, BRC Ranch earned:

Grand Champion Grey Brahman Bull – BRC Six Gun 328

Reserve Grand Champion Grey Brahman Female – BRC I Wish You Would 523

Champion Get of Sire for the 4th year in a row

Champion ET Produce

Champion Breeders Herd for the 2nd year in a row

Champion Genetic Group
We were especially proud to win the Champion Breeders Herd for the second year in a row. In this competition, each ranch brings their best four head for a head to head competition. These wins are especially meaningful because they represent the depth and consistency of the BRC breeding program.
Customer Success Makes the Win Even Better
One of the greatest points of pride for our team is seeing customers succeed with BRC genetics. This year our extended BRC customers had tremendous success in Houston.
Customer highlights included:
- 11 Class Winners
- 3 Division Champions
- 3 Reserve Division Champions
Seeing cattle bred with BRC sires or dams but carrying our customers brands is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. Our goal has always been to build cattle that work for our customers — in the pasture, in the breeding pen, and in the show ring.
A Team Effort
These results are the product of a dedicated team that works behind the scenes every single day.
From early mornings feeding cattle, to long days preparing show animals, to the careful planning of breeding decisions years in advance — success like this is never the result of a single moment. It is the result of countless small decisions made consistently over time.
We are grateful for the BRC team that pours their energy into this program and for the families who support them along the way.
Looking Ahead
The Houston show is always a milestone moment each year, but for us it is also a reminder of the responsibility we carry.
Our focus remains the same as it has always been:
- Continue improving the Brahman breed
- Continue building cattle that work for commercial producers
- Continue helping our customers succeed
We are honored to be part of an industry filled with passionate breeders and dedicated cattlemen and women.
And as always, we are excited for what comes next.
Thank you to everyone who visited the ranch, supported our program, and cheered on the BRC team this week in Houston.
