BRC Wins South Texas State Fair

April 1, 2026

Coming off the heals of big wins at Houston, BRC Ranch took a smaller, younger show string to the 2026 South Texas State Fair in Beaumont and our young stars really shined!

BRC 700

BRC Your Gypsy 700 was chosen as Grand Champion Female. This heifer is one of the first Amos Moses calves to hit the circuit and as you can see, she has that style and power that you would expect from him. We see so much of her paternal granddam, Boom Shaka Laka, in this female as well. Her dam is BRC Come on Eileen 75, one of our best young donors. We are really excited to continue to watch this exceptional young female.

BRC Ribeye 624 was named Reserve Grand Champion Bull and Calf Champion Bull. He was also earlier named Calf Champion Bull at Houston. He is a son of BRC Geronomos Cadillac 230 and a natural calf out of a young BRC female.

We were especially excited to see how the young cattle fared. It’s always a bit bittersweet when your older cattle come off the show string, but it’s clear that the babies of BRC are setting the stage for a bright future.
