The BRC “Young Guns” of 2025 have topped the list of our most popular global AI sires of Brahman semen sales for the 2nd Quarter of 2025, which runs from April to June. This data is so exciting to us for quite a few reasons.
First, we believe you should always be improving with each generation of cattle you produce. The fact that our top 4 highest selling semen sires are our 4 youngest bulls shows us that the Brahman world agrees that BRC is the source for top quality Brahman semen!
Second, the four “Young Guns” topping the list also shows the depth and diversity of the BRC sire lineup. Yeah, a ranch might be able to produce one Brahman semen AI sire every year. But FOUR. That feat in itself is also very rewarding to us to see that people are selecting not just one – but four different young BRC bulls for their program.
Topping our list as the top selling Brahman semen AI sire at BRC for this quarter is none other than BRC Johnny Brahman 299 – the 2025 International Grand Champion Brahman Bull at Houston this year. Johnny has fans all around the world who love his structural soundness, muscling, eye appeal, and proven fertility. This shows us that the Brahman world recognizes the importance of these traits and is flocking to use Johnny Brahman in record numbers!
BRC Geronimos Cadillac 230 comes in a close second to Johnny Brahman this quarter. 230 is another bull in the BRC lineup that we have exported his semen to nearly every continent in the last six months. This bull does it all. He’s got the performance, pedigree, presence that BRC is breeding for. If we had to characterize a bull that most closely fits the “Bonsma” type – it’s 230. He’s been extremely popular in Mexico, South America, and Australia. These days, 230 is breeding cows in the front pasture at BRC and looks absolutely amazing on simply grass inputs. 230’s Brahman semen is also available for USA purchases through BRC or through Bovine Elite.
BRC Money Don’t Jiggle 240 ranks third with only a very limited release of semen for 2025. These numbers are generated from his Houston pre-sales and then his exclusive offering in our Global Genetics Event. We can’t wait to see how 240 makes an impact on the select herds that purchased his semen in 2025. 240 semen is not available at this time, and we expect it to be released again in 2026.
BRC Amos Moses 257 comes in 4th for semen sales this quarter. Amos Moses is a larger framed bull sired by 160 and out of Boom Shaka Laka. He’s super sound, stands on tremendous bone, and very heavy muscled with a very nice look. His semen has been very popular worldwide.
