Cattlemen’s Congress: Brandon Cutrer Judges Two Breed Shows

January 15, 2026

Each year, cattle enthusiasts from across the country look forward to the Cattlemen’s Congress in Oklahoma City — a gathering that celebrates livestock excellence, industry education, and community fellowship. This year’s event, held in January 2026, offered another exceptional week of competition, connection, and cattle-focused events.

Brandon had the opportunity to serve as a judge for both the Braford and Beefmaster shows. It was an honor to be part of an event that draws producers, breeders, and youth exhibitors together around a shared passion for quality cattle and continual improvement.

What Makes Cattlemen’s Congress Special
Cattlemen’s Congress is a new tradition in the stock show circles, created just a few years ago.  With outstanding facilities and an incredible team, this show showcases quality genetics from breeds and breeders nationwide. It supports youth cattle exhibitors who bring energy, dedication, and future leadership to the industry. And finally, it’s a great time to connect with peers in the stock show world.

Braford & Beefmaster Judging
Brandon’s judging assignments included both the Braford and Beefmaster shows — two breeds with deep roots in Southern ranching and a reputation for maternal strength, adaptability, and functional performance.

Throughout the week, exhibitors brought well-prepared cattle and a commitment to presenting their best. What stood out was not just the quality of the animals, but the respect shown among competitors and the pride of families and youth taking part in the experience.

Looking Ahead
Congratulations to all who participated, and thank you to the Cattlemen’s Congress Committee, volunteers, families, and every exhibitor who made this year’s event special.

Here’s to continued growth, improvement, and the traditions that bring us together in the cattle industry.
