BRC was excited to compete at the 2025 Bluebonnet Kickoff Classic Show in Bryan, Texas on August 1, 2025. This show is one of the longest-running Brahman shows and is always an exciting show because it officially “kicks off” the fall Brahman show season.
This year’s show was judged by Jojo Carrales, a top tier seedstock breeder at HeartBrand Beef.
We chose to take a fairly small string – 6 head – because of the heat and our busy activities back at the ranch, but this show proved that it’s not quantity that matters but quality.
BRC I Wish You Would 523 “Minnie” was named Grand Champion Female, emerging from the summer yearling division. Minnie first showed at the 2025 Houston Show, winning Reserve Calf Champion Female at her very first show and with only a few weeks on feed prior to the show. Since then, she has steadily climbed to her championship title, including being Grand Champion at the Red River Brahman Alliance, Reserve Grand Champion at the Bos Indicus International, Reserve Grand Champion at the Brahman Event, and division champion at the TJBA and All American shows. Minnie is a daughter of BRC Sweetie 486/8 and sired by MSP King Garrett.
BRC Johnny Brahman 299 claimed the Reserve Grand Champion Bull, following Bulls Eye Ranch who claimed the championship. Johnny is also a full sister to Minnie, making him a Sweetie x King Garrett. Johnny is the 2025 International Grand Champion Bull.
