BRC genetics continue to rise to the top around the world, and the results from the August 2026 National Fair of Montería, Colombia, are another exciting example. This show is hosted by Asocebu and brings together some of the very best Brahman cattle and breeding programs in Colombia, making these results especially meaningful to us.
AV El Triunfo 458/7 657/2 claimed the Grand Champion Bull title — and as you can see in the photo, this bull carries himself like a king. He is truly outstanding.
We congratulate our friend and breeder Alfredo Jose Villazon Gutierrez of Hacienda El Triunfo for producing such an exceptional bull. Each year, Mr. Villazon visits BRC, and it is always a pleasure to spend time together discussing breeding philosophies, cattle bloodlines and the future of the Brahman breed. His passion for producing great cattle is evident, and we value the opportunity to collaborate with breeders who share that same drive for progress and success.
Hacienda El Triunfo also claimed the Champion Get of Sire with progeny of +Mr. V8 458/7 “Noble.” Now deceased, Noble was the bull that built our program. He was bred by BRC, but carries the legacy brand of Rachel’s grandfather prior to our family starting BRC Ranch.
Seeing our genetics represented in the top spot of the Get of Sire competition is especially rewarding. Colombian cattlemen have access to elite genetics from throughout the world, creating an incredibly deep and competitive genetic base. When you study the uniformity, quality and consistency of the three animals representing the El Triunfo Get of Sire, the influence of Noble is unmistakable.
And now, the next generation of that influence is gaining momentum.
BRC 160/8 continues to establish himself as more international breeders turn to 160 as the next generation of the Noble bloodline. He carries forward the qualities that made Noble internationally influential while adding even more muscle shape, outstanding structural integrity and a more moderate frame.
One of the young bulls that has us especially excited is Tasmania Omega TE 553/5. This impressive son of 160/8, bred by our friends at Ganadería Tasmania, was selected as the Intermediate Champion Bull.
The Tasmania team has become another close collaborator of the BRC program, and we always enjoy exchanging ideas about genetics, cattle type and the direction of the breed. Omega is an exciting example of those conversations becoming reality. This young bull has the quality, balance and presence to be built for the championships.
The influence of 160/8 continued in the female division, where Ganadería RD – Hacienda Agualinda exhibited the Intermediate Champion Female with an outstanding 160/8 daughter. She is an exceptional female, and we are thrilled to see this program represented in the winner’s circle.
We also extend sincere congratulations to our longtime friends at Hacienda La Vittoriana, owned by Jaime Maroso. The Maroso family believed in Noble from the beginning and has incorporated his genetics into their program for more than a decade. Their continued success is a testament to what can happen when great genetics are combined with a clear breeding vision and years of dedicated selection.
At Montería, Hacienda La Vittoriana exhibited both the Reserve Senior Champion Bull and Reserve Senior Champion Female, each representing Noble genetics.
For us, these results represent something much bigger than a single show.
We are incredibly grateful to the breeders around the world who have trusted BRC genetics and incorporated them into their own programs. Based on our most recent data, approximately 11% of the cattle being exhibited across Central America, Mexico and South America carry BRC genetics — an influence second only to the historic JD Hudgins bloodlines.
That is a statistic we do not take lightly.
Our goal has never simply been to produce cattle that win for BRC. Our goal is to create genetics that work for breeders — genetics that can be taken home, incorporated into another program, and used to build the next generation.
When BRC genetics contribute to championships in Texas, Colombia, Mexico, Central America or anywhere else in the world, that is what means the most to us.
Different ranches. Different countries. Different breeding programs. One shared pursuit of better Brahman cattle.
