BRC Best of the Fall Borns Sale Attracts Worldwide Buyers

June 2, 2021

The BRC Best of the Fall Borns Sale, held June 1, 2021 at DVAuction.com, garnered attention from the global Brahman community, with bidders from the United States, Mexico, Colombia, South Africa, and Thailand.

“This sale really showcases the depth of the genetic diversity at BRC,” said Rachel Cutrer, co-owner. “The fact that the sale offering featured the service of seven different BRC bulls (Captain, 788, 194, Dutton, 750, Boomtown and 259) – all of which are also available through Brahman Country Genetics – really shows the power of the BRC bull battery.”

The high selling lot was Lot 1- Choice of the Captain x 100 Fall Born bull calves. This lot sold for $41,100 to a buyer in the United States. This was the first offering of a Captain son in the United States, and as indicated by this lot – and the spring born calves by Captain at BRC and at Wichita Ranch, indicates an extremely bright future for this sire.

BRC Lady Wonder 101 – the very famous calf at side of BRC 805/8, the 2021 International Champion Grey Brahman Female, commanded the top bid for the female offering at $32,200. Once again, this female represents 100% BRC breeding being out of 805 and sired by our calving-ease sensation 788. The sire, 788, is the standing service sire at Southwest Stallion Station / Dr. Charlie Graham / Phillip Ray’s herd in Elgin, Texas.

BRC Lady Lupita 114 was also a head turner, and the second high selling female for $30,700. This is the first daughter of BRC Dutton 376/8 to sell in the world. She too had bidders from the USA, Thailand, and South Africa.

Overall, the sale averaged $25,175 on 8 head. Cattle sold to the United States, Mexico and Colombia.

The next offering of BRC females will be October 2021 in the “Best of the Spring Borns” sale.
