BRC bloodlines once again rose to the top of the pack at the 2026 ABBA Winter Classic, the first approved show of 2026 for the American Brahman Breeders Association. This show is hosted by the Heart of Texas Brahman Association in Waco, Texas.
Randy Allgood of Florida served as judge.
In the female show, BRC Playing With Fire 490 was named Grand Champion Female. 490 is a daughter of 160/8 and out of 902/7, and was a past sale highlight of the 2024 BRC Ranch Night of Champions Sale where she sold to Maaz Siddiqui of Klein, Texas. We are so happy to congratulate the Siddiqui family on their championship.
The Reserve Grand Champion Female was Miss 5H Tatum 8/5, bred and owned by the Harris family and exhibited by Walters Livestock of Brenham, Texas. Miss 5H Tatum is sired by 160/8.
Claiming the third championship of the day for BRC genetics was Mr 5H Finn 7/4, who was named Grand Champion Bull. He is a son of +M2 BRC Captain 518/1 and out of Miss 5H Jade 7/1. He is owned and exhibited by 5H Cattle of Poth, Texas.
The BRC bloodline produced numerous winners at the show, including:
- VBCC Mr. Yellowstone 61/1 – Spring Bull Calf Champion. This bull is out of Miss V8 819/8, a Noble x Boom Shaka Laka daughter we bred and sold prior to our transition into BRC Ranch. Congratulations to Vera Brothers Cattle Co. of Kingsbury, Texas.
- PC Mr Booray 2 – Late Spring Bull Calf Champion. This bull is a son of BRC Geronimos Cadillac 230 and out of Miss Rafter 5 121. Congratulations to IS Ranch Fitting Service.
- BCC Lady Prada 248/3 – Aged Senior Champion Female. She is a Captain daughter and exhibited by Bentke Cattle Company of Burton, Texas.
- Miss HC Yazmin 244/4 – Reserve Champion Early Winter Heifer Calf. This is a Captain daughter out of Miss CBR Jazmine 655/7 and exhibited by Herzog Cattle of Chilton, Texas.
- BRC Reina 572 – Reserve Champion Spring Heifer Calf. She is a 160/8 daughter. Congratulations to Kaila Hicks of Klein, Texas. This female sold from our private treaty group.
- VBCC Miss Sehila Zass 55/1 – Reserve Senior Yearling Female. She is also out of Miss V8 819/8, a Noble x Boom Shaka Laka daughter we bred and sold prior to our transition into BRC Ranch.
- BCC Lady Esther 315/5 – Reserve Late Spring Heifer Calf. She is a Noble daughter bred by Bentke Cattle Company of Burton, Texas.
- Mr MC 14 Bert – Reserve Senior Yearling Grey Bull. He is sired by M2 BRC Swing Wide 189 and out of a Bull Eye Ranch female. Congratulations to IS Ranch Fitting Service!
In total, five different BRC sires produced winners at this show, showing the depth and quality of the BRC sires.
BRC Ranch did not attend this show, but we are so happy to see our genetics doing so well for those who choose to invest in the BRC bloodline. We consider it an honor that so many of our fellow breeders use BRC bulls. It is also important to us to see those who invest in the BRC bloodline achieving success. That is the goal of any seedstock breeder.
