Size of BRC Brahman AI Sires – Summer 2025

June 13, 2025

One of the most frequent questions we receive at BRC is about the frame size of our Brahman AI sires. Since many of our customers – internationally especially – never get a chance to see these bulls in person, they want to know how best to mate up our bulls.

Understanding the size of bulls – which bulls are larger-framed and which ones are more moderate – helps our customers plan matings that complement the size and type of their cow herd. Or, helps them move their herd in the desired direction.

To make this easier, we’ve developed a visual chart that ranks our BRC Brahman AI sires from largest to smallest. This is based off the benchmarks of BIF Frame Size and a bit of institutional knowledge amongst our team about which bulls were larger or smaller than others when you compare them side by side.

Noble, known for his power and scale, tops the list as the largest-framed sire in our program. Dutton and Captain are middle of moderate, while 259 ranks as the most moderate, at an even frame score 6. We avoided using the term small for any bulls because even our “smallest” bull is a frame score 6, which is not considered small industry-speaking.

This chart is a quick, helpful reference tool for breeders aiming to make balanced, informed decisions based on the size, style, and structure they want to replicate in their herd.

Whether you’re looking to add growth, maintain moderation, or strike the perfect balance, understanding frame size is a key step in making the most of BRC genetics.
